The Gods smile upon us.
First, let me preface this by saying, it did not break.
Apparently I have not been paying enough attention when helping my daughter clean her room lately. We are attempting to prepare for an open house tomorrow and were working on Juli's room when I happened to notice that the birds nest we had found and put on her shelf now had something in it. It fit perfectly and looked quite at home nestled there on her shelf, but my brain said, "that's not right". Upon closer inspection I find that my lovely, adorable daughter has decided that she wants to hatch a baby bird. She went to the one source to fulfill this goal that she is familiar with- our refrigerator. When asked how long this experiment had been going on, she said, "ummm, I think, weeks?"
We had a little talk about what happens when eggs are left unrefrigerated for long periods of time.
