First, a PSA:
I just got a Twitter direct message from someone I know, and it looks to be a phishing scam--it sent me to a page that looks like the Twitter login page where I was supposed to enter my user name and password, only the url wasn't twitter.com. I foolishly did enter the info, then realized what was going on and changed my password.
So, if you've seen anything like this, you might want to change your Twitter password, like, now. Heck, change it even if you haven't run into these messages yet.
On a related note, anyone know how to change the Twitter password on the Twitfire iPhone app? I'm stumped.
And... remember that hideous Ralph Lauren ad that was being talked about maybe a week ago? There's a
New York Daily News article about it; apparently the model they used was fired for being "overweight." Sheesh. According to the article, the ad was only used in Japan--that's why people were having so much trouble finding copies of the original. A RL spokesperson did, however, acknowledge that they had produced the ad.
