The driver's ed students around here have also been very entertaining today--they're learning to drive in reverse. I was being very careful running errands in the neighborhood, because I'd suddenly see taillights backing up around corners. The first few weeks of the semester are always tons of fun in this neighborhood.

Remember a few years ago, when I was all stressed out about stuff at church? Things are getting interesting again. (That's "interesting" in the supposed Chinese curse sense of the word.) I'm trying not to get too involved, but it's really not in my nature to sit back and watch.

Torchwood Jack/Ianto fic rec: Attrition, by lazuli-kat. I wasn't reading it as a WIP, but when it was finished, I thought I'd give it a shot, and, wow, I'm glad I did. It's great. Jack and Ianto are both just the right amount of fucked-up, and there's plenty of angst, but not so much it's overwhelming. I managed to read all 37 chapters in about two days last week, and since then I've been re-reading bits here and there. It completely sucked me in.
