(no subject)
I've been kind of cranky all week--my mouth is improving, but it's still tender. I'm supposed to get my braces on tomorrow, but I'm not sure what's going to happen--the oral surgeon keeps saying he'll talk to my orthodontist about it, but then he doesn't. I'm really not thrilled with him right now. I saw him yesterday, and he did confirm that there's a hole in my sinus, which should heal up in a couple weeks. I don't think it's causing any problems, but I'll keep taking more sudafed than usual for a while. This would happen during allergy season, of course.
Mother's Day ads are also kind of getting me down, but at least that will be over on Sunday. In the past I've always been the one who buys things for both of our mothers, but this year I told Matt he's on his own, I'm just not dealing with it.
Today I went to the Art Institute, just for a break, and thought of all the slashers I've dragged there in the past. It's always a nice place to visit. The weather has been drop-dead gorgeous all week; I'm almost afraid to say anything for fear of jinxing it. May isn't usually this nice... but it's not over yet. I suspect we've got one more cold spell left.
And that's about it. I've been catching up on stuff I got behind on in April, but mostly it's been a quiet week. I did start teaching again a couple weeks ago, and I think that's been good for me. Picked up a tutoring student, too, who I really hope does well. He's a nice guy.
