(no subject)
I'm home! Unfortunately, I'm only down one wisdom tooth. They got the right tooth out, but they knocked a bit of a hole in the sinus in the process. Then they cut the left side open, but the doctor realized that he couldn't get that one out without making another hole, so he left it alone. So I'm sore on both sides, and I'll have to go back and have the second one done later. Joy.
Right now my mouth is still pretty numb; it's the sinus that's hurting. Swallowing isn't much fun, and I've got that sinus pain running up behind my right eye. I'm sure eventually the rest of my mouth will be sore, too. Matt's just gone out to pick up my prescriptions; there's Tylenol-3 in my future. And ibuprofen. And lots of Sudafed, because they don't want me sneezing while my sinus is healing. That should be interesting, since Sudafed usually haves me bouncing off walls--I don't know how it'll react with the codeine.
Mostly, though, it wasn't too bad. I felt a little queasy when I first woke up, but now I'm not groggy at all. We'll just have to see how the next few days go.
