Went to the doctor this afternoon because my left ear is still plugged up, three weeks after my initial appointment; the doctor says there's really nothing she can do, and it'll probably clear up in a few weeks. That was a waste of a co-pay.

In the waiting room, there was a woman across from me who was talking to herself. Loudly. Something about the FBI and a conspiracy. And it sounded like she was doing both sides of the conversation, which was... odd.

On the shopping front, I decided that the shoes I'd bought were too uncomfortable, so yesterday I went out hunting for another pair. I did find one, eventually, but, sheesh, what an effort. Also picked up three tops and some underwear--I keep buying lower-cut pants, so my French cut briefs aren't doing it. Now I just have to return shoes, pants, and two tops, and I think I'm done. There are people who enjoy shopping, right? I'm definitely not one of them. Given a choice between going to the dentist and going to a shopping mall... well, I'd have to think about it, at least. They're both sheer torture.

We're leaving on vacation on Friday--going to fly to Atlanta, then drive to South Carolina to see Matt's brother and his family, spend two days in Charleston, and finish up back in Atlanta with my cousin. We'll be back Sunday the 21st. It should be a fun trip, but it's been a really last-minute thing--we still need to reserve a rental car and make hotel reservations in Charleston. I'm just hoping it's not too warm down there yet. And I'm bringing all my allergy meds, having learned my lesson last year after my head went completely berserk in Gettysburg, PA. That was miserable.

Tomorrow morning I have a breakfast meeting relating to Wim. I have to be up, dressed, at the restaurant and reasonably coherent at 7:30 a.m. *shudder* *is not morning person* Sometimes I wish I liked coffee.

wimoh, travel, shopping, allergies
