Character Explaination
Explaination of the characters named in 12 Poems by S.O.T.H. (Strangers on the Hellmouth) Spike about his mates
Notes: In this AU Watchers reincarnate, and if vamped, part of their essence stays with the vamp the rest waiting for rebirth
01--Aerithika Romani (Reborn as human in 1981 via the Ahk-Mar)
An over 2300 year old Khanarin demon, with red hair and green eyes, Aerithika is the ringleader of her little harem of demons. Tall and beautiful, she has a fond affection for Watchers. She travel and was trained by her father a vicious demon known at one time as the Black Plague, and helped train the Master. This is not her first time coming to earth from her home dimension, in previous incarnations here she helped chase off a threat to her feeding ground.
Originally an angel she was cast out with two others, Demetrika and Jessana, for their arrogance and thinking that they could create as well as the Creator. In the early 1st century she was one of the first Christians, but her demonic ways eventually won out in the end.
02--Rith Black (Killed in early 1970’s by a bomb)
Until they were 90 years old, Rith and Aerithika shared the same body. Like Aerithika, Rith has red hair and green eyes, but his temperament is a complete 180 of hers. While Aerithika is kind hearted and sweet, Rith has a temper and loves carnage. But since they spent almost 100 years inhabiting the same form, they are practically inseparable.
03--William Cambridge (Reborn as human in mid 1970’s via the Ahk-Mar)
The second incarnation of William, born in 229 B.C., William was turned by the Master, a punishment for Aerithika “weakness”, and forced to travel alone for centuries. A chance encounter in the 4th century brought him back to Aerithika and Rith’s side. He was eventually turned full-blooded demon (Khanarin).
04--Alexander Pryce (Reborn as human in 1981 via the Ahk-Mar as Xander Harris)
Alexander was born in the mid 3rd century to a large Watcher family, his parents and most of his siblings died in a fire when he was eight. He was raised by his only living sibling until her death when he was 12. At age 14 he was found by Aerithika, half-starved to death, she healed him and he has traveled by her side ever since. It was Alexander who found and brought William back into Aerithika’s life.
05--Wesley Sullivan (Reborn as human in the 1970’s via the Ahk-Mar as Wesley Wyndam-Pryce)
Wesley Sullivan was found and brought into the fold by Rith around the time Aerithika met Alexander. When he was 14 he watched as his father was murdered and his brother killed by Demetri Black. Wesley grew up a Watcher and was a big help in forming the Watcher’s council as they had been spread far and wide for many years.
06--Nicholas Winters (Reborn as human in 1975 via the Ahk-Mar)
Son of a noble, born in the mid 10th century, Nicholas found no joy in his lot in life until he met Aerithika, Rith, Alexander, William, and Wesley. He was welcomed with open arms into Aerithika’s home and has been with them ever since.
07--Seth Walker (Reborn as human in 1980 via the Ahk-Mar)
In the late 10th century, Seth was a young noble, he had no wish to become lord of his family’s territory as he knew his younger brother was the better leader. He left his family, his parents and all 13 of his younger siblings, and traveled alone. Within days of his leaving home the Master and his servants came to the area. At the same time a clan of werewolves also came to the area and a war broke out amongst the two groups. Seth returned home to find everyone he knew dead, and the land burning. Aerithika and the others, her mates, were traveling the area and took the young man in. he bonded quickly with Nicholas
08--David Autumn (Reborn as human in 1979 via the Ahk-Mar)
David was the only other survivor of Seth’s home. He had been the son of the poorest widow in the village, and had been rescued from the flames of destruction by Aerithika’s young protégé, Anthony Tepesch. He traveled alone and came across Aerithika and Rith’s stronghold, where he met Seth. Seth thought it was destiny and quickly to a shine to him. Seth, David, and Nicholas are virtually inseparable, and often travel alone together.
09--Daniel Spring (Reborn as human in 1965 via the Ahk-Mar as (surprise))
Daniel was a fighter all his life, he had to be, as he had witnessed his mother’s death at his father’s hands when he was only 7 years old, in the early 14th century. When he was about 14 years old, his older brother sacrificed himself to allow Daniel to escape their father. In his run for freedom, he came across Alexander and Rith, who took great pleasure in destroying his father who had been pursuing him. He soon joined their number, and has spent the centuries studying history, ancient civilizations, and languages.
10--James Summers (Reborn as human in 1981 via the Ahk-Mar)
In the early 14th century, James was sent to become a monk by his parents when he refused to marry the daughter of a Watcher he had impregnated. It was at that same monastery that Aerithika and Daniel were married. The monastery was run by a Father Fredrick, a man who a few years after James left to follow Aerithika, Rith and the others, would be bitten by a werewolf. The son who was born of James’ youthful folly would eventually have a family of his own, and his line would continue to one Buffy Summers.
Shortly after Daniel and Aerithika were married and left the monastery they noticed James following them, as he had been told by Alexander that he was one of them.
11-- Liam O’Donnell
Liam is Angelus, enough said.
12--Randy Travers (real name William Randall Travers)
William’s most recent incarnation, he was born in the 1950’s. He is next lifetime after the one in which William had become Spike. He is the younger brother to Quentin Travers and is being held in England by the council.
