Okay, I'm tired of people always pushing this notion "tolerance" and "acceptance." It's total BULLSHIT. I hate how wherever you go/look, either it be work, tv, school, friends, etc. you always here the same crap about how great it is to accept people no matter what decisions they've made. Well I think that's just the sign of a lazy and shallow character and a major blow to having a fucntional society.
We're told every day in school not to "discriminate," but do they ever say WHY!? The usual reason they give is "they can't help it" or...who the hell knows what their reasons are, they can't even decide why. We're told this repeatedly as we grow up and are supposed to accept it as truth, but are we ever encouraged to wonder whether this is actually a good thing, hell no, that would require actual independent thought, something education very much frowns upon. There are certain people that should most definately NOT be accepted by others, or if they are, it should be to help them see the error of their ways; not to simply say "you've made your decision and I respect that." LAZY, that's all that kind of mind-set is, a LAZY AND SHALLOW ONE
There are certain groups of people I just plain don't like and will not accept as friends, I don't go out of my way to "persecute" them or discriminate, I can't control others, but if anyone thinks for a second I'm going to "accept" someone regardless of their lifestyle they have another thing coming. I can at least explain why I don't like them and why I don't wish to associate myself with them, which is far more than I can say about anyone I've ever heard stick up for those people I don't like
There are people out there who, by their own decisions about their lifestyles, have chosen to be enemies of everything I care about. They seek to destroy all decency in society, they seek to subvert the judicial system and piss on the constitution for the sake of their twisted agenda, they seek to make all morality relative, they disregard all fact and all reason and all documentation, whether it be religious or secular, about a subject while claiming their way is the only true way, and if you disagree you're a facsist
Well guess what, I've never stopped anyone from expressing their opinions, I've never persecuted anyone, if I don't like someone for whatever reason, I leave them the hell alone as long as they leave me alone. The so called "open-minded" people who "accept" everyone are anything but open-minded. I've never met an open-minded person in my life, myself included. I've been told on several occasions that I was not allowed to express my opinions or told how "wrong" I was for having them, how open-minded of you, hypocrites.
And the worst part is, nearly everyone I know falls for this shit. Many are blinded by personal involvement, others simply don't care, and others believe these lies of "tolerance" so much they live and die by them. I at least am willing to hear the other person out, even though I've never heard a defense for this mind-set that was in any way valid
So who's the narrow-minded asshole? I may be narrow minded, but at least I'm willing to admit it
