Title: Sharing (2857 words)
Fandom: Transformers Movieverse (DotM canon compliant)
Rating: PG-13
Pairings: Lennox & Ratchet (implied Ironhide/Ratchet)
Summary:
For the
tf-rare-pairing prompt of "Lennox/Ratchet, Grief". Ideally, this would make MORE sense if read after another fic... which I haven't written yet. Hopefully the context is enough to go on.

(and everything Bay is incapable of portraying)
And exactly what they both needed.
Damn. Pickup trucks are going to hurt for a while.
<3 Thank you for writing this.

I haven't seen the movie yet. I'm thoroughly spoiled, I know what happens, and I just don't think I can stand it. This was just heartbreaking and gorgeously written and I could just cry for both of them.

Thank you for reading. fwiw, there's pretty much zero of this in the film, in the way that action movies cut away right as the action ends and don't wrap up any of the actual fallout. Which is totally why I feel the need to fill in the gaps. =P They needed resolution, everyone did, and this was just part of it.

The movies have always needed resolution; Bay just sucks at it. :P

To be fair, MOST action movies suck balls at the whole "resolution" thing. There's the big Action Ending, and then... fade to black. Hero kisses girl, maybe there's a sunset, but there's no real resolution or dealing with any fallout from the mess action movies tend to make of their characters. It's just "oh look, good guys won, cue happily ever after!"
Bay does, however, suck at it more than most as there's never any indication in the film that oh, hey, they lost anyone along the way. I mean, I understand on an intellectual level just how much more any mech takes, per second on screen, than an actual actor's salary, and then you weigh that against the budget, but this doesn't change that we're all there for the mechs and then we don't get them. rar.
