Do you ever wonder why things that were working fine one moment just grind to a halt unexpectedly , and then cease to work from then on in?
Take my pc for example - one minute I am signed into MSN Messenger , awaiting contact from my better half... Then next thing , I get an error message "Messenger is signing you out", which it does, and , since then , I have been unable to sign in. A plethora of error messages follow.. Your username /password does not exist, perhaps the system is down etc...So , after scouring the net , and trying all the suggested fixes, (none of which made the blindest bit of difference), I finally uninstalled it from my system - every last trace of MSN Messenger removed and doubly deleted from my hard drive.
All I have left to say is thank God for Trillian - connects in seconds , doesn't cause my PC to judder , everytime a message is recieved and it doesn't have all the stoopid bleeps and whistles that MSN Messenger has ,which I think that is what is causing all this hoo-hah in the first place.
I mean , if I want to play a game with someone , I'll just go to Yahoo Games , or one of the other multitude of free game sites , and play there... I don't need it built in to my Messenger...
I suppose once a new version of Messenger comes out , I will bite the bullet and reattempt to connect it , but for now , as long as I can get a conversation winging it's way from the UK to the Middle East and back again , I will be happy using that little double globed Trillian...
Communication... don't ya just love it?
