Saturday: A day of WIN and FAIL
WIN: Went to post office and mailed out the last of my current doll wig orders. Hooray, accomplishment!
FAIL: On the way back from post office, car decided that it really just wanted to keep accelerating, even though I really wanted it to stop. (No, it is not a Toyota.)
WIN: Managed to brake and get car into park without damaging self, car, or anything else.
FAIL: Car is now stopped in left-turn lane in the middle of Saturday afternoon.
WIN: I have CAA membership!
FAIL: Phone is dead, cannot call CAA. Also it is pouring rain.
WIN: Nice shopkeeper lets me use his phone and stay out of the rain for a while.
FAIL: CAA takes 30 minutes to arrive. Still raining. Car still blocking turn lane.
WIN: Tow truck driver is awesome! Takes me to a CAA service center because I don't have a mechanic in town, and gives me lots of good advice on getting estimates/repairs. Also lets me use his phone to try to find someone to drive me home.
FAIL: Can't find anyone to drive me home.
WIN: Awesome tow truck driver gives me a lift back to Fairview and I only have to wait five minutes for a bus.
FAIL: I now have no car to get to Toronto for weekend, since repair places won't open until Monday.
WIN: Check bus schedule, Greyhound in 45 minutes! Eat dinner, pack bags, call cab, and end up arriving only an hour and a bit later than originally planned.
WIN: Have awesome weekend.
