This past weekend we visited my sister at JMU for "Family Weekend". When my mom, dad, and I first got there we toured the ISAT (Integrated Science And Technology) building. That was kinda cool. We then met up with Emily and then sat in the rain and watched a football game for a loong time.
Then later that night, we went to the convocation center for the JMU music concert. And what a concert it was!!! The Wind Ensembe played first and had a guest baritone singer. Then the chorus sang, they were amazing. And then the Jazz Ensemble played...wow... they were awesome! I especially liked the part where the saxophones started to play and then one GUY, I repeat GUY, stood up and played the clarinet. He was absolutely AMAZING!! Then after the Jazz Ensemble was finished, the Marching Royal Dukes stood up and played selections from their show, which was also quite outstanding.
Overall, it was a good weekend, and JMU earned more brownie points in my book!
