WUG Trials over. Made only one moderately-serious mistake (note: the more confident you are about post-round-robin procedures, the more imperative it is that you double-check the rule book!), but this was resolved before anything Bad and Wrong had happened. The team that looked like they'd have the whole thing in the bag until they lost their mojo in the last two RR games got their mojo back in the tiebreaker and the whole thing was in the bag. They'd made their plans gambling on no TBs, so they had to change their flights at a cost of about a thousand dollars (each, I believe), but they're going to China with "USA" on their backs, so I'm sure they don't mind so much. (Best quote overheard from them after it was all over: "Guess it's time to hold a car wash.")
Headed out to rehearsal as soon as I got home. Had little sopranos-eating-their-young audition for solo bits at the end; the score to beat for descriptions of my voice by the director is now "pristine".
I'm going to turn on the electric blanket and wash my face and go to bed. I can do the beginning of the unpacking I need to do (to get my curling stuff back to the club) in the morning.
