paint again

For the record:  I expect deep colors to take two coats.  This deep blue takes three, and that's too much.  Oy ( Read more... )

Consider yourself lucky! When we painted our master bathroom deep blue (Ralph Lauren Charter Blue, to be exact), it took four coats.

Never again.

This is apparently why the world has provided tinted primers. Who knew?

I knew such things existed, but have always chosen not to use them, my reasoning being: primer + paint = two coats; two coats of paint = two coats. What's the diff? But in this instance, if it would have been primer + 1 instead of 3x paint, then, you know, there's the diff. :-)
