drawing boards: back to them?

I don't think we are going to want BUT WAIT HOUSE; the manager got quotes and is talking to the owner about options to have it rigged for a/c, but without cooling Himself feels his computers can't live there, no matter what we decide about ourselves.

And I don't think we're going to get OMG HOUSE; counting ours, there are four applications in for it now - all of which have come in since we decided we were interested in looking at it, which kind of sucks, but there you go. They'd originally listed it at a per-month rent higher than we can pay, available in the first week of March, and didn't get any bites, so in the first week of April it dropped into our price range - but one of the other three offers is for the original asking rent for a two-year lease. The manager says he doesn't know if that's going to be the basis on making their decision, but if you were a homeowner trying to pay your mortgage with rental income, wouldn't you consider that more money is always more money than less money? Ours would be a two-year lease starting right away, but at the present lower rent. Others might not start right away, but that one that's for the higher rent might kill us. All the others have pets, though, and we don't, which might tip the scale in our favor. Can't know until they decide, which may be as soon as tomorrow.

If we get OMG HOUSE, we are going to take it. If we don't get OMG HOUSE, we are going to reassess what the owner of BUT WAIT HOUSE is going to do about cooling, and when. If we like what we hear on that question, we will take BUT WAIT HOUSE; if not, we will begin again.

only you can prevent misanthropy
