Today I wrote and handed in the second-last paper I will ever write as a student. (This time I'm pretty sure I mean it.) The last one is an 8-10-pager due in a month (and worth 40% of the grade). I've got a couple of discussion threads to participate in before then, but really, this MLS thing is just about in the bag.
We have appointments to see four places over the course of the weekend, at which point I fervently hope we will both like the same one enough to rent it, because the whole business of getting things we can agree to look at hasn't been that difficult but the business of getting everyone together who needs to be together for us to look at them has been annoying in the extreme. Gah. (Me: "See, I told you moving sucked!" Him: "People are a problem." ♥)
We are also going to the bank (which one, we haven't sorted out yet) to open a joint account. Meep! Nobody's zeroing out any non-joint accounts, but still.
We have three estimates in hand from moving companies, which we'll have to compare and decide which one we prefer. (We may have to get back in touch with each of them once we decide on a place to have them move us into, and a date on or by which we would like to move - or we may just have to get back in touch with the one we decide on.)
I have confirmation that a present my mother didn't know I was sending has been delivered to her house. Yay.
I have been knitting a baby blanket for ages for a baby who is two months old already. Now that I only have one paper left to write and curling season is over, I hope I can bloody well finish it and move on to two or three hundred other things I've been meaning to cast on.
On the way home from work I am going to get ice cream, because I totally deserve it.
