Crossing back into the land of milk and honey...

I accepted a full time employee position at Microsoft today.  I'll continue working as a program manager with the team that I've been contracting with over the last year.  Compensation package was nice and they'll even reinstate my seniority, so I'm quite pleased.   I'll continue in my contracting position through the end of next week, then take two weeks off and officially start as an FTE on September 8th.

At the beginning of the year, I started reading the Old Testament from the start.   I've kind of lapsed in my reading here and there, but I think there was a devine plan to it all.   The day before the interview, I prayed for wisdom and that God's presence would be with me throughout the day.  On the day of the interview, I was at the start of Joshua and I think it was evident that God was leading me to read this passage at exactly the right moment as a reinforcement that He is in control:

"No one will be able to stand up against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.

"Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their forefathers to give them. Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.  Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."  ~ Joshua 1:5-9

Praise to God for the opportunities that he's provided!
