"Hey guys...what if the movie sucks?"
So, while it's not technically the 19th anymore, i'm still awake so to me, it is. Which means that it's still the 10th anniversary of the release of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.
In honor of this, I watched the film Fanboys today. Basic plot: 4 friends have been Star Wars fans their whole lives. When one of them finds out he's dying of cancer, they decide to steal the rough cut of Episode I so he can see it before he dies. Hilarity ensues, and Trekkie bashing commences. Here's the trailer:
If you're a Star Wars fan, and hell...even if you're a Star Trek fan, this movie is really awesome. It was funny, geeky, sexy (at times), and most of all...a Star Wars fanboy's dream come true. This is the sort of thing all SW fanboys wish they could do.
The cameos in this are ridiculous as you can tell by watching the trailer. Some of the lines that are delivered in this are really among the best and well timed i've ever seen in a film. It warmed my heart and made me feel really good while watching it.
