Re: Why Nader...darthcrankNovember 5 2008, 18:20:59 UTC
I voted Libertarian again..straight party ticket. I actually felt very elated that it was over with as I left the booth...I couldn't help but smile huge and pump my fist a little.
My own version of irrational joy about the election....over sticking to my guns.
Why not Ron Paul?tricstmrNovember 5 2008, 23:52:52 UTC
I like Paul a hell of a lot more than Bob Barr--who was all for authoring the Defense of Marriage Act and impeaching Clinton for a blow-Job and voting for the Patriot Act until he figured out that maybe these things weren't so great a couple of years later.
Here's what I mean...tricstmrNovember 5 2008, 23:51:17 UTC
Did he really want to use racist language here?
On a bigger level.. while Nader's politics might be in the right place idealistically.. strategically, he doesn't really seem to care whether any leftish anti-corporate policies actually get implemented at all. He'd rather stand there hewing to his beliefs and feel superior than actually work towards accomplishing anything.
To me, that just makes him an egotistical dick....
However, I shall remain cynical until I see some real change.
Either way, my conscience is clear.
I voted Nader.

Nader just seems like an ego-maniacal Cockhorse to me.

I don't think I have an accurate daytime address for you.
Tomorrow I may have time to discuss.
