The purposefully drain half of Alatoona (not the Lake Acworth side) every winter, though, so it's not necessarily an accurate picture of our water situation. ;)

Um, yes, but the water levels were WAY down well before they normally start draining it this year.... and the overpass in the picture doesn't look like the 92 one by Lake Acworth. Looks more like the interstate overpass perhaps?

Of course the levels are lower than normal; we're in a severe drought. My point was that the bare-bottom lake photos aren't an accurate representation of how low the water is, because they drain that entire side of the lake in the winter. As far north as Red Top Mountain, it's normal to see dry lake bottom in the winter.
