“So what do you want for Valentine's Day?”
Tim hummed as he jabbed at keys on his computer as he spared Roy a glance, “How about a computer program that stops crashing.”
Roy chuckled as he peered over Tim's shoulder at the crashed program he was working on. “Come on Tim Valentine's only a few days away. Give me a clue about what you want.”
Tim smiled and leaned back against the archer. “I have what I want. I have you. Why would I want anything more?”
Roy wrapped his arms around Tim and nuzzled his hair. “Yeah, but it's a boyfriend thing,” he tugged Tim out of his seat and into his arms and kissed him before resting his forehead against Tim's. “So tell me, please . . what do you want?”
Tim half smiled as he stroked Roy's cheek. This was an ongoing conversation between them Valentine's Day or not. How could any gift compare to Roy? Not that Tim had any luck of convincing Roy of that. “A rose, give me a rose.”

Tim sighed as he made his way back to his office. The meeting was long and boring and had Tim wondering why did he let Dick talk him into going in his place? He shrugged off his jacket and spotted the cup of hot coffee on his desk. He smiled and sent a mental thank you to Tam.
He picked up the cup of coffee and headed to the balcony - the perks of being junior CEO, or whatever his title was - Tim leaned on the railing, relaxing his shoulders.
A flutter noise made Tim turn his head and saw a red arrow embedded in the wall. Tim raised an eyebrow as he took a step near. It swayed a little in the breeze, a red rose tied to it's shaft. Tim pulled the arrow out and untied the rose and smiled, “Roy,”
He looked out over the neighboring rooftops. About two buildings over a glimpse of movement caught his eye. He went back to his office and grabbed his binoculars and came back out. There Roy was, one foot on the ledge. Tim could see the smile on his face as he waved his hand and blew Tim a kiss.
Tim lower his binoculars and though he knew Roy couldn't see it, he smiled at his lover. Roy Harper, funny, handsome, smart Roy Harper, any other guy would just take him out to dinner. He gently stroked the petals, “My Cupid, my Eros.”

Characters: Jason/Tim
Summary: The discovery of a gift changes things between Jason and Tim
Word Count: 710
Warning: angst, strong language
Tim shut off the hot water and grabbed a towel and dried off and then grabbed a pair of boxer shorts. He could hear Jason in the bedroom pulling on his own clothing - getting ready to leave. Tim paused not knowing if he should go in or not. He and Jason had been seeing each other for the past six months. Seeing each other might be a little strong, they've been sleeping together and maybe grabbing some fast food before hand for the last six months was a far better description of what they had.
But sex and kung pow chicken didn't make a relationship, no matter what Tim might want other wise. Jason had been tense and snappish all week, and Tim had really had his fill of being called the replacement, so maybe it would be better to just stay here till Jason left.
“What the hell is this?!”
So much for that idea. Tim sighed and draped the towel around his neck and walked into the bedroom. Jason was half dressed in his jeans and boots and in his hand was a small jewelry box. “What is this?” he asked waving the box around.
Tim bit his lower lip before swiping the box from the older man. “It's nothing don't worry about it.”
“The bag had my name on it,” Jason said as he let Tim take it but not without stepping closer to Tim.
“It's nothing,” Tim said as he headed to his desk to put the box in drawer. “Don't stress about it.”
Jason grabbed the box from Tim tossing it up and catching it again, “Oh Replacement why is it someone who is such a damn good liar is such a lousy one too? What's up with this?”
“Give it back Jason. It's not anything you would care about,” Tim growled and tried so very hard not to make a grab for it.
Jason gave him a look that was a mixture of a smirk and a sneer and held the box higher in the air over Tim's head. “Now that's real interesting. What is it that I wouldn't care about?”
Tim huffed out a breath and ran a hand through his hair. “ . . . Valentine is next week.”
“What?”
Tim gripped the towel around his neck tighter and bit his lip again. “I was at the mall and something caught my eye that made me think of you.”
Jason threw back his head and laughed. “Oh Drake have you got the wrong idea!”
“No I don't. I know what our relationship is all to well. Do whatever you want with the box,” Tim just shook his head and turn around and headed to the kitchen of his apartment.
Jason after Tim, muttering curses under his breath. He threw the box on the bed and grabbed his shirt and pulled it on, followed by his gun belt and his jacket.. His eyes drifted toward the little white box. With a snort he grabbed the white jewelry box to see a little ring box inside. Jason opened it up to see a gold ring inside that had a robin on the band. “Shit.”
Jason sat down heavy on the bed, looking between the ring and the door. “Damn it Timmy, I'm no good for you.” Jason wasn't blind to how Tim felt about him. In truth he felt the same. Things were easier when he was with Tim. He was happier, but that didn't change the truth, he was Red Hood and Tim was Robin and they couldn't change that. Tim would have been better off letting Goldie bang him.
He looked down at down at the ring and then slipped it on. “Of course, it fits fucking perfectly.”
Jason bowed his head for a moment and closed his eyes. He should just leave and not look back. But how many times had he tried that? The truth was he needed Tim. He wanted Tim. Maybe it was time to stop fighting it. “V-day's a week away huh?” Jason grinned as he stood up and headed for the window, already planning his and Babybird's day.

Red on black eyes flashed and a familiar trench coat flapped as the thief slipped over the edge. Tim gritted his teeth and chased after. Over several rooftops the Boy Wonder gave chase. The thief seemed to slow down a bit and Tim reached for his bird-a-rang, “Stop right there Gambit!”
“Petit! How nice ta see ya tonight, but ol' Gambit can't stay ta chat. Got places ta be,” Remy said, his hand already pulling out and item from his coat to charge up.
Tim let loose his 'rang as Gambit threw several small items, which drove Tim back behind an air conditioner duct. “What are you doing here Gambit? You said you'd stay clear of Gotham!” his voice holding a bit of betrayal in it.
“Dat I did Petit, though dere are somet'ings even Gambit can't say no to,” the Cajun grinned backing away again.
“Can't risk him getting off the roof,” Tim muttered to himself, “Might not be able to find him again.”
Tim pulled out his grapple gun and shot a line over head of a near by building and swung over head, landing between Gambit and his means of escape. He pulled out his bo staff and extended it.
Gambit licked his lips as he pulled out his own staff. “How about we make a deal oui? You beat Gambit and you get what he stole. Gambit beat you, and he get both da item and you.”
Tim couldn't help the blush on his cheeks at Gambit's look. He always felt like the cream to Gambit's cat during moments like this. “You know the answer to that.”
“Mmm oui, you are quite stubborn about playing Gambit's games,” he chuckled. Suddenly he swung out with his staff that Tim barely blocked with his own.
They went back and forth, blocking and parring, dodging blows when they could until Tim managed to sweep Gambit's feet out from under him. “Enough!” Tim panted. “This is over, just give me what you took.”
Gambit held up his hands in surrender as he gained his feet back. “Okay.”
“Okay?”
“Gambit said he'd give you da item if you beat him.” he purred. “If you let me?”
Tim stepped back and nodded. Gambit grinned and put his hand in the inside of his coat pocket and pulled out a small box and handed it to Tim.
Tim's eyes went wide in amazement, “Candy hearts? You stole candy hearts?!”
“Had to steal somet'ing to get your attention.”
“You could have just called me up and asked me out to dinner,” Tim pointed out.
“But what fun is dere in dat?” Gambit asked as he pulled the younger man close and nuzzled Tim's cheek.
