Kon and Tim stood in front of a mirror in their and Roy's bedroom, Kon picked up a witch's hat and placed it on Tim's head at an angle and stepped back with a smile on his face. “Perfect!”

Tim looked at himself in the mirror and straighten the hat on his head. He was dressed in black and orange robes, the hat had an orange band going around the brim, and Kon had shoved a broom in one hand. “I feel like the spirit of Halloween threw up on me.”

Kon cocked the hat back to the side and eyed Tim thoughtfully, “I didn't know Halloween had a spirit. There's something missing.” Kon ducked his head out in the hallway and called, “Roy, there's something missing.”

“This,” Roy grinned as he came in and handed Tim an plastic jack-o-lantern bucket, “Can't go trick or treating without something to carry the candy in.”

Tim shook his head as he looked at his two lovers. Roy was dressed as a pirate and Kon as a WWII fighter pilot. Each looked excited for their upcoming night out. “Why am I dressed up as a witch?”

“Because you lead a depraved childhood and we are helping you make up for it,” Roy said smirking. He looked at his reflection over Tim's shoulder and adjusted the eye patch to his costume.

“Besides you're a wizard,” Kon said.

“I'm pretty sure wizards don't wear pointy hats.”

“They did in Harry Potter,”Kon pointed out.

“Do you really want me bring up all that was wrong with the costuming of the Harry Potter movies?”

“No!” Kon and Roy chorused together. Tim gave them a rueful look as they shook their heads. Roy wrapped his arm around Tim's waist and lead them to the door. “Come on, it's starting to get late, we don't want to miss all the good candy.”

“Yeah some people give out boxes of raisins when they run out of candy or worse toothbrushes,” Kon said as he followed after after grabbing his leather jacket and a flashlight.

“Wouldn't mind some raisins,” Tim muttered which caused Roy and Kon to moan. “That does it. We're making you eat candy till you puke,” Kon said as he playfully shoved Tm's shoulder.

The neighborhood was filled with laughing children running from house to house, bemused parents trailing behind them. Calls of 'trick or treat' filling the night as little feet scatter red and yellow and orange leaves across the street. Kon and Tim and Roy laughed and made a game out of spotting various hero costumes.

“There!” Roy said pointing at a house at the end of the street. “Perfect house for Tim to start at,” the house in question was decked out in little lanterns leading up the sidewalk to the house and five festively carved pumpkins on the porch. With prodding from the other two Tim made his way up to the house. He waited until a group of kids had gotten their treats and hurried onto the next house before ring the doorbell.

A woman dressed as a gypsy answered the door, she had blond hair that fell in ringlets pass her shoulder and her green eyes danced with amusement, “Now you're a little bit older than the usual ghost or witch to pass my doorstep.”

“Uh yeah just a little bit . . . uh I'm raising money for the Children's Hospital? Every piece of candy brings in a donation?” Tim said sure of the bright blush on his cheeks.

“So your here for charity then?” the gypsy said with a look down at Roy and Kon. “Not a lost bet or anything?”

“A bet?” Tim asked as he followed her gaze. “Oh no . . maybe just a quest for a missing childhood. Maybe,” Tim said with a rueful smile.

“Ah I see,” she said as she shared a smile with Tim, “Well here's to charity and lost childhoods,” she reached into a bowl and dropped a generous handful of candy corn in Tim's plastic jack-o-lantern.

Tim grin and nodded, “Thank you miss.”

Kon and Roy waited for Tim to join them, Kon dipping into the bucket and took a few pieces of candy, popping them into his mouth. “Mmm candy corn.”

“And a gypsy girl too,” Roy said smirking up at the house. “So did she offer to read your palm?”

“Roy,” Tim said with a shake of his head as Kon just rolled his eyes and lead Tim down the street.

“Aw come on guys,” Roy pouted as he followed after them, “She's totally not my type. I'm more of black haired, blue eyed, heroic stance type of guy.”

Kon laughed and pulled Roy up between Tim and himself, they both linked arms with him. “Get up here Speedy. We got some candy to get.” Kon's eye lit up as he spied a group of kids going up to a house. “Mrs. Robinson's place,” he grabbed the jack-o-lantern bucket right after Roy grabbed some candy corn for himself.

Kon joined the group, grinning at the kids winking at a girl dressed as Batgirl, “Great costume,” he squatted down so he was level with the kids and pulled down his goggles. The boy in front rang the bell and every one chorused 'trick or treat.' A white haired little old lady opened the door with a smile, “What wonderful costumes you all have.” She passed out a handful of candy bars to each kid giving a warm compliment to each child. When she got to Kon her eyes went big as she dropped the candy bars into Kon's bucket, “Well you certainly are big for you age.”

“Yes ma'am. I make sure I eat my Wheaties.” Kon said with a smile. Mrs. Robinson laughed and patted Kon on the head and went back inside.

Kon got up and jogged back to Roy and Tim, “Tada! Candy, candy, candy. Mrs. Robinson is always good for your sweet tooth.”

“And how do you know that,” Tim grinned as he dipped his hand in the bucket and pulled out a candy bar and a couple of pieces of candy corn.

“I get her cat out of a tree at least once a week.”

They smiled and shared a chuckle and headed down the block to hit more houses. A group of teenage girls accompanying groups of kids to go trick or treating told them about a block party not far away.

“Oh this is great,” Roy said once they got there. “Carnival games, a costume contest, they even have a corn maze. Best way to end a night of trick or treating.”

Tim couldn't help but laugh as he found himself being hauled into to corn maze.

Sunlight filtered into the living room, Kon hummed happily in his sleep, stretched out on the couch he slept on, and rolled over to sun himself more. The night had been fun, the three of them had spent a nice amount of time being “lost” in the maze and Tim had gotten an honorable mention in the costume contest. A whine penetrated his sleep followed by a sloppy lick to his cheek. “Ssstop Krypto . . . try'n ta sleep.”

The whine got more instant and followed by a nose shoved in his face, warm air whuffing across his skin. Kon groaned and pushed Krypto's face away and cracked open an eye. “Okay, okay I'm up, I'm up. What could possibly be so important that you had to get me up now?” Kon groggily pushed himself up and swung his feet over, letting them dangle over the side.

Dangle?

Kon blinked and rubbed his eyes and looked at Krypto in confusion. The same look was reflected back at him from his faithful dog. Krypto whined and laid a paw on Kon's leg - a paw that looked a lot larger than it did than the day before. “Krypto . . did you grow?” Kon slapped a hand over his mouth as a much higher and younger voice sounded to his ears. “What the hell?”

He patted his cheeks and pulled his hair and looked as his hands that now were small and unfamiliar looking. He scrambled over to the end of the couch and picked up a compact mirror that Dinah had left on her last visit and flipped it open. Instead of the squared jawed young man that he was, a young boy looked back at him. Kon gasped and fell back onto the cushions, his eyes automatically going to the other couch that Roy and Tim fell asleep on last night. Instead of his lovers he saw two young boys cuddled together. “Roy . . .Tim!”

The two boys slowly woke up. The little Tim, looking of all of the age of five, pushed up to his knees and rubbed his eyes and looked down at Roy, touching his cheek with one small hand. A little gasp fell from his lips as he took several minutes to examine his hands before even looking over at Kon in confusion. “What happened to us?”
