A/N: written for a prompt on fic_promptly for me_ya_ri. Prompt was, Tim/Damian, Tim and Damian are both Bruce's biological sons, much to Damian's dismay.

Damian frowned as he walked over to the window and looked down at the pool where Tim and his friends were. They were laughing and splashing around - generally being a nuisance. A couple of the girls were sunbathing, the speedster was playing volley ball - against himself, and the clone was trying his best to get Tim into the pool. The whole setting made him grit his teeth.

A noise behind him made him turn to see Pennyworth coming in with a tray of tea. Damian sniffed and turned back to his glaring.

“A spot of tea Master Damian?” Alfred said as he began pouring the offered drink.

“Not now Pennyworth,” Damian growled.

Alfred came over and looked out the window with Damian, “Ah Master Tim's friends have shown up, he said they were coming by today. I'm sure your brother would not mind you joining them.”

Damian's shoulders tensed at the word brother. “I would not lower myself to associate with that group. Not sure why Tim does.” His eyes narrowed as the clone had seemed to given up on coaxing Tim into the pool and just scoped him up and tossed him in and diving after. They both came up laughing and began splashing each other which made Damian growl softly.

For a moment Alfred said nothing but then offered a sympathize pat on the shoulder. “Master Tim would still want you to join him. He loves you,” he turned and picked up his tray leaving Damian alone with his thoughts.

What did Pennyworth know? What did any of them know? How could they know what it felt like to find the one perfect person that you could freely give your heart too and to find out that he was out of your reach. It did not matter how much Grayson called them all brothers, it did not change the fact that only Tim and himself were Bruce Wayne's only natural sons. Being brothers also didn't stop him or Todd from propositioning Tim any time they felt like, while Damian was restricted in his affections since Tim long ago had made it clear that it was a brotherly love he felt for Damian.

So with a heavy heart he got to watch as others slipped inside the parts of his brother's life that would always be forbidden to him, and no amount of tea and sympathy would change that.
