The light from the computer screen flickered , bathing Tim's face in it's glow. He squeezed his eyes shut to get them to focus more, the numbers on the screen just seemed to scroll on and on. “This is just endless,”he muttered.
Silently Connor stood behind him, resting his hands on Tim's tense shoulders, his thumbs making circles at the base of Tim's neck.
Tim continued to stab at the keyboard even as the tension left him and he sagged back against Connor. The archer ran his left hand up and down Tim's arms while his right drifted up and curled the longer strands of hair around his fingers, enjoying the silky feel of them.
Tim leans his head back till it's resting on Connor's stomach and lets out an breath of contentment. “Suddenly I don't feel like working anymore.”
Connor just smiled as he bent down and kissed Tim's temple. “Come look at the stars with me.”
Tim stood up and wrapped an arm around Connor as they walked out to the balcony. The stars shone bright and a slight breeze made the night air cool. “Nice night,” Tim murmured, “Almost wished I had my telescope out.”
“You can always go get it.”
Tim tightens his grip on Connor, “And lose this? I don't think so.”
Connor nuzzles Tim's cheek. “Not going to. Not ever.”
Tim smiled as he leaned against his lover. “Twinkle, twinkle little star. How I wonder where you are.”
“Up above the world so high. Like a diamond in the sky,” Connor continued as he lifted Tim's face up and softly kiss him. Tim cupped Connor's cheek as he gently returned the kiss. They leaned against each other, arms wrapped around each other, with only the starlight for company.
