Jason blinked and looked around. How did he get back to the safe house? He was pretty sure he was he was at the Manor. He heard voices coming from the and headed that way.

“Just stay out of my head!” came an all to familiar voice as he saw himself storm out of the kitchen. Jason could see Dick and Tim standing in the kitchen, Tim's face crumpling and sagging against Dick.

“Oh no,” Jason said shaking his head and followed after his twin, grabbing him and spinning him around. “What do you think you're doing?!” Jason hissed. “Go back there and tell Tim you didn't mean it.”

“What? There no way I'm going to do that!” other Jason said pushing Jason back.

“If you don't then he'll leave!” Jason spat.

“Better that than him finding out.”

“No! He'll be alone with Shiva. We don't know what she wants with him,” Jason said as he grabbed the front of other Jason's shirt.

“You want to be the big hero?” other Jason sneered as he batted away Jason's hand. “Go after him yourself. Maybe he'll just overlook what ya got up in melon of yours.”

Jason growled as he backed away from his doppelganger and turned and ran for the stairs that lead to the roof. He burst through the door, his kris in his hand. Lady Shiva and Tim stood at the edge of the roof, her arms wrapped possessively around him.

“Let him go!” Jason snarled.

A cold cruel smile spread across her face as she tugged Tim closer. “You are too late. The little bird is now mine.”

“Tim no!” Jason bolted up right in his bed, his heart hammering in his chest, his hair plastered to his forehead. With a growl he kicked off the blankets and swung his legs over the side of his bed, putting his head in hands. Taking deep breaths he calmed himself so at least it didn't feel as if he had just ran a marathon. He looked over at the clock and saw that it was only 6:30 in the morning. That meant Jason had only barely gotten an hour's worth of sleep. With an angry grunt Jason got up and took a quick shower and dressed and head back down to the cave.

He sat down at the computer and pulled up the latest reports on possible whereabouts for Tim. It had been three weeks since Tim had left with Shiva - since Jason had driven him away - and all they had were rumors as to where he might be.

“Thought you were going to get some sleep,” Dick said as he walked up behind Jason.

“Thought yo were too.”

Dick shrugged, “Babs called with something, didn't pan out.”

Jason looked over his shoulder at Dick. The first Boy Wonder looked like hell, thought Jason was pretty sure Dick would say the same about him. Neither one of them had barely gotten any sleep when they had brought Tim home from the bank when his shielding failed. Outright refusing to leave Tim, they worked in shifts so someone was always at his side, offering what comfort they could and when Tim left both of them threw themselves into finding their lost bird, sacrificing what little sleep they might have gotten if there was a hint to finding Tim. “You look like shit,” Jason said turning back to the computer.

Dick snorted as he leaned on Jason's chair. “Always the charmer huh Jason?”

Jason sniffed. “Get to bed Dick before you end up falling down.”

“Same could be said about you.”

“Tried. Didn't take,” Jason said as he jabbed at computer keys.

“Had the nightmare again?”

Jason bristled at the question and glared at Dick's reflection in the computer screen. “Mind your own business Dick.”

For a moment Dick said nothing then, “It's not your fault.”

“Then who's fault is it?” Jason said whirling around to face Dick.

“We were all on edge . . “ Dick began.

“But it wasn't you who snapped,” Jason barked. “You didn't drive Tim away.”

“It could have been anyone of us . . “

“But it wasn't.” Jason said hotly “I actually don't understand why you're not pissed off at me.”

“Who said I wasn't?” Dick said in frustration. “Do you have any idea how badly I wanted to hit you for saying what you did?”

“Then why didn't you?”

“Because I know what it's like to be in love with Tim and scared that you'll end up driving him away!”

Jason took a staggering step back as if Dick had slapped him. “Wh-what?”

“Come on Jay,” Dick said softly, “You really thing I wouldn't have noticed?

Jason ran a hand through his hair, of course he knew he Dick had his own feelings for Tim. It was painfully obvious how much Dick cared for Tim. Jason just never understood why he had never acted on them. “So this the part where you tell me to keep my hands to myself?”

“I don't know. It's not like I've got any more rights to Tim than you do,” Dick said crossing his arms across his chest.

Jason snorted, “You're kidding me? You're Dick fucking Grayson. You could get Tim anytime you wanted him.”

Dick gave a humorless laugh. “Maybe at one point that was true but . . . I've made too many mistakes, disappointed him too many times.”

Jason slumped back in the computer chair, absently moving from side to side. “So what do we do now?”

“Right now we find Tim and we bring him home. We'll sort the other stuff out as we go.”

“Do you think he's better off with Shiva?” Jason asked softly.

For a long moment Dick didn't say anything, then he leaned forward and pressed a firm kiss to the top of Jason's head, I don't know Jaybird. I'm know I'm not just going to walk away from him. Think between the two of us we can give him a reason to come back.
