Cassie sniffed at the milk before dumping it into the sink. “I think the milk went bad.”
Kara finished wolfing down her piece of toast and stood up and grabbed her jacket. “I'll pick some up after work.”
“And don't forget the dry cleaning.”
Kara nodded as she kissed Cassie on the cheek. “Right I can do - oh wait no! I got that meeting today, it'll run long.”
Cassie just nodded as she quickly loaded the dishwasher. “I'll try to do it on my lunch hour,” she looked up as Kara laughed.
“What?” Cassie asked as she checked her reflection in the toaster. “Do I have something in my teeth?”
“No. It's just - we sound like an old married couple,” Kara said grinning.
Cassie smiled back, her eyes dancing as she reached for Kara, wrapping her arms around her wife. “Yeah we do,” she whispered before kissing Kara softly.
