an LJ interview from
laele75:
1.) Obligatory Monty Python Questions: What is your name? What is your quest? What is your favorite color? (You know I had to. :)) The hard ones first, eh? Adam, to fry sausages without setting off fire alarms, and purple.
2.) Since you're a Discworld fan as well, what's your favorite Discworld novel and character?
Oooh. Tough one. I do like the three witches novels, but Thief of Time was very good. I'm not sure I could pick one of either, but Granny Weatherwax is extremely cool. And of course, everyone loves Death. Which must look odd to non-fans.
3.) What's with the jar full of paper hearts?
I think you know very well what's with it, but why pass up a good excuse to be nauseatingly cute? There are actually two jars, for no other reason than because my girlperson loves jars, which she picked out, and both have a number of coloured paper hearts in them. The larger one has one heart for every day we've been together; the smaller one has a heart for every day left until she comes here. Every day, I move a heart over from the small one to the big one. In case you're interested, the numbers on the jars currently stand at 542 (big) and 199 (small).
Edited to add that she cut out all the hearts herself- they're hand-made, despite the effects on her poor hands of cutting out literally hundreds of them.
4.) What career do you want to pursue after college?
Eeee. Now you're asking me something, in particular something I don't really have a good answer to. One of my reasons for going to college was, it must be said, to hide from real life and put off picking something. My plan used to be marine biology, but when it came to picking subjects to study at university (in England you only study one or two subjects, and have to choose them when you apply), I realised I didn't really want to. Which is why I have A-levels in maths, french, physics and biology but am now studying linguistics and psychology. Linguistics has relatively few applications; I don't want to be a speech therapist, but I have considered translation. I should probably be learning languages, though. More recently I have, in a very, very vague way, considered teaching. I have a lot of respect for teachers; I don't know whether I could do it well, though.
5.) Warhammer 40K or Fanstasy, which do you like better?
I only play 40K. Maybe if I had more money and wasn't preoccupied with my Dark Eldar right now, I'd go for some skaven or something. Maybe. Right now my priorities are making my DE cooler, then maybe getting some more harlequins, and then /mayyyyybe/ some Inquisitor-scale stuff. :)
That's me done. The instructions go:
"Reply to this post with 'Interview me'. I will reply to that response with 5 questions. Post the 5 questions, your answers, and this invitation in some form on your own LJ. Repeat ad nauseum."
