STORY TIME

Oct 23, 2006 19:43

I'll warn you now, no one will really care about this entry. Its one of those "had to be there" things, and I suck at telling stories so I can't imagine this one being good.

A little background first. So, freshman year, despite being the shyest person on the planet, I wanted to try out for the play. So a couple days previous to tryouts freshman year, I had done a little presentation for my theatre class. I had decided to do the scene from LOTR TTT when Gollum/Smeagol get into a fight. I forget why I thought this was a good idea, but I decided to try out for the play with this mono(?)logue. So, I got into the play (and was oddly cast as a nun?) and the theatre kids welcomed me as one of their own.

So now, I am a senior. And I thought all had forgotten about my crawling around the stage. Until today. So, Kendra quit the play =( and her stuff had to be recast. So, Scinta starts out by saying that she needed to recast the role of Hunger. Then she decides to tell a story of how she never forgets a weird audition. At this point, I was not catching on. I was like "who did a weird audition this year? I should tell them about my freshman year one." Then she goes on to talk about one from a few years earlier, and then she looked at me, laughed, and said "Will you do it for old time's sake?" She then continued to laugh and reminisce about me crawling around on stage and the voice I used.

So, I got the part of Hunger. Pretty much I growl, and crawl around for a little bit and then leave. But hey, its me. I have zero shame.
