Facebook meme

Just posted the following to Facebook. I've decided that every time I'm made aware of these supposed "cancer awareness" memes I'm going to actually post something about cancer, as I personally think that writing something about cancer is a better way to raise awareness than writing something cryptic that isn't about cancer. If I'm wrong about this, do tell me.

There's another meme going round that claims to raise awareness of Breast Cancer, by not mentioning Breast Cancer at all but by saying something cryptic and not telling The Men. I'm all for posting fun stuff, and would be right behind this if it was just being done for shits and giggles, but I can't see how not mentioning Breast Cancer raises awareness of Breast Cancer.

So instead I'm posting this, and saying Breast Cancer a lot, because I think that's a better way of raising awareness. When I was a kid I genuinely thought you could get cancer by saying the word, because so many adults referred to "The Big C" and were scared of saying it (rather like Voldermort). So, be aware of cancer. Everyone reading this, go and check your breasts for lumps NOW (this includes the men, btw, you can get it too). And go and do any other checks you can do yourself.

Be aware. Use the word. Fight the illness.

And if you want to post some puerile innuendo, post it! Don't use cancer as an excuse, just post cryptic/rude stuff and give us all a giggle!
