I wish I could remove pages from the web with a button simmilar to the famous "Smite" button...

reason for my smack-down here is for the way that CNN.com reported the link:
"Melting polar ice could swell oceans" (emphasis mine).
So let me get this straight. While we all know that when water freezes, it increases its volume. And when you add water to something that already has water in it, the water level is going to rise. It's like the people who come up with the headline just weren't thinking when they said COULD... it should say WILL.

Preposting edit: While checking that LJ didn't screw around with my link choices, I did notice that someone changed the name of the link to the article to say "Earth's Past predicts warmer future"
