I'm really not going to get sick for Christmas...
I'm free! Well...for a week anyway. I left work at 12:02, picked up a couple of things at the store and made my way happily home. I fixed the problem with my Christmas houses, cleaned out my car, did laundry, and made an early dinner. And then somewhere along the line I started having that funny scratchy throat and puffy eyes feeling that precedes a cold or other loathsome illness. Cross your fingers that it's only a fleeting thing...perhaps a mild reaction to something I cleaned the car with...and won't develop into anything. I'm really going to be pissed if I'm sick at Christmas AND my time off.
And NOBODY is coming to my house for Christmas! Half the family seems to be obligated to go to their inlaws and one group is going to...Disneyland?...Six Flags???...some theme park. We'll eat on Christmas Eve at my in-laws and the children will exchange gifts. After that it's smooth sailing the rest of the week. It's not that I don't like company, I do, but I just feel extra tired and in need of quiet. I'm sure next year EVERYONE will show up here.
Is there a new Clone Wars tonight? Crusoe is gone, moved to Saturdays, and I can't remember what else comes on tonight.
