The Good Wife. I’ll fully admit that the only reason I started watching The Good Wife was because I’m obsessed with Julianna Margulies. And then I saw that Matt Czuchry and Mr. Big were both in it too. Well that got my attention. And I’ve stayed watching it because it’s a fabulous show. It’s one of my only ‘must see tv’ shows this season. I never skip it and usually watch it right after/as it is recording.
Julianna Margulies plays Alicia Florrick, a wife and mother who assumes full responsibility for her family and re-enters the workforce after her husband's very public sex and political corruption scandal lands him in jail. Pushing aside the betrayal and public humiliation caused by her husband, Peter, Alicia starts over by pursuing her original career as a defense attorney. Alicia's main competition among the firm's 20-something new recruits is Cary (Matt Czuchry), a recent Harvard grad who is affable on the surface, but is competitive to the core. Gaining confidence every day, Alicia transforms herself from embarrassed politician's scorned wife to resilient career woman. The shows are a combination of a one-hour drama and a law and order type show.
