Footballs, athletics and snogging in Townsville.

I am currently sitting in the Qantas Club in Townsville airport with 2hrs to kill before our flight.

We just finished the competition and the entire weekend has been classified as totally freakin rad. (Next year is going to be even better though.)

Friday night we all (Me, mum, Cat, Kristyn, Pat, Cam, Eric (our coach) and Kristyn's parents) We young 'uns had a blast: Kristyn mentioned that in her Podiatry practical class the other day their teacher had brought out all these jars of preserved organs and such. One of these contained an ovary the size of a football. Cam and Pat both thought this was hilarious and immediately began to discuss how on earth that would be possible and make many, many jokes about it. The most popular one was: I'm going to punch you in the football. Thank you Cam for your sparkling wit.

I have totally re-thought my opinion of Cam after spending almost the entire weekend in his company. He is mostly quite funny and is really very nice when he isn't paying people out. I also discovered that he is doing law at uni and works in a law firm at the moment. So yeah, he's pretty rad. Except when he makes jokes at your expense which you have absolutely no comeback for.

Saturday night saw us at the same restraunt sitting next to a hen's party. They were rather... boisterous. They had the whole lot: penis shaped straws, swizzle sticks and cake. Pin the dick on the poster was going for most of the night and the bride was really quite hideous. Epic buck teeth and very, very platinum blonde hair. (That was rather mean.... oh well.)

Also, this weekend saw my first sneaking out of the house (well, apartment). It was around 11:30pm on Saturday night and I was not tired at all. So I snuck out and went to the beach with Pat. We chatted and err, made out on the beach for a while and ended up getting back at around 2am.

In between all the hilarity we managed to all complete our multi-events (I did a heptathlon and the boys did a decathlon) and all finished first in our respective age groups.

Over all: rocked socks. We have a rad training squad.

life, boys, athletics, friends
