So we finally got a router. It works good as a LAN, but with the added side-effect of acting as a solid firewall to all internet traffic that no amount of tweaking or port forwarding can seem to fix.
So now we have a 30 dollar piece of plastic to have sit around until someone can either tell us how to do it or a tech support guy makes a visit.
