Holy - Cra - Wow. I haven't updated in a while
So I'm crazy in the bad way. I plan to design, dye, and knit a sweater that has colorwork (intrasia and modified fair isle) that is based on a dream I had. I might need some help. On the flip side, I am currently in Indiana (peeks out window) where there is snow on the ground and all my hoodies are worn out.
Okay, to put this statement into perspective. I've been knitting for about ... a month and a half. admittedly, I've knit a lot in that month and a half, but still. I don't have that much experience. It'd kinda be like learning to paint and then deciding that you want to paint your living room ceiling in a replica of the Sistine Chapel, but you decide to throw all convention out the window and make up your own composition while you're at it.
I've done a little practice knitting, since I've never knit with wool before, and some tiny batches of test dyeing to make sure that I have the techniques necessary down and that I'm not screwing up my wool. Currently, the only thing that's going for me is that my swatch/ test is okay. I'm off to test dye more yarn, because what I got the first time was not at all what I was aiming for. Still very pretty, just not what I need. It should be interesting.
I will post pictures when I figure this out, or I'll post links to pictures. We shall see.
