The Mesmerist (2002)
Based on the Edgar Allen Poe short story, "The Facts in the Case of M. Valdemar," this comedy revolves around a doctor who convinces a dying man's family to allow him to put the man in a trance as he takes his final breaths. As the man descends into the afterworld, he slowly discovers the answer to the ultimate question of mankind.
Most notably, it stars Neil Patrick Harris (Benjamin) opposite Jessica Capshaw (Daisy). I can't say I've watched the whole thing through yet (though the folks on Amazon seem to find it pretty funny), but as I was checking to make sure it had ripped okay, I did see Neil making out with Jessica up against a wall. Fun stuff! It's nothing like other roles I've seen Jessica in. You'll see as soon as you start playing it.
