As the picture shows, it's official. I am back in Big D with the Stars. Even got number 5 back, which I wouldn't have had any other way. It was different when I went to the Bolts. Cullimore was one of the most tenured player on the team, also a veteran guy, and he had the 5. So, I rocked the 55. Once he left for Chicago, I got it back. It's weird how attached you get to your number. I've seen guys trade for them. And when I say trade, the guy who wants it usually has to pay out the ass with some very expensive gifts.
Things out here are pretty much like I remember them. some old teammates, some new ones. I'm just feeling really loved with the huge response people are giving to me coming back. A lot of the times when I go out I hear how glad they are to have me back on the team. And that really makes me feel good. I'm not a flashy player. I do my job on the blueline and that's enough for me. But this proves that people have noticed and appreciated what I did in my time here before. It means a lot.
Found a house I like. So things will probably move ahead with that before we head off to my lake house. It'll be good to go now that it's not a million degrees in the Pacific Northwest.
