Truth 101
To dream is to hurt. This is what many young people today are starting to find out. It is not because they whine too much or that they have never had to work hard for anything, it is the truth. Without rich parents, or without being part of a minority, your are on your own. I don't believe that simply giving up is the solution, however. You could find a job that makes good money, and has long hours, which in turn means problems at home because your gone too much. Or you could dedicate yourself to getting an education, use it to get a career, and retire wealthy. You will also more than likely have no family, because you never had time for one. I know this may seem to be unimportant, that the views of one usually mean nothing to the many. However I have found that this is continuous, neverending, and usually allows no room for any hope. But thats the key. Saying and believing everything that I just said would seem to imply that i have given up hope, that we all should. But why should Hope have a source. Why should hope have a good ending? Why not, if there is even the slightest hint of life inside you, cant we just keep going. Going through the ropes, filling out the paper work, letting the system win. Why not? If you think that something will be shown to you, something promising better roads ahead, then your an idiot. We have to make our own roads. We have to observe. We have to watch how things happen around us, and use what we learn to make our own hope. To ignore progression is to be a bum, to be ambitious means to be cold-hearted, to not do anything makes you worse than the first two. So if we can live through the way things are, as so many have, but trick ourselves into thinking that we are on top, although these are false perceptions, why not do it any way. Dream people, but be smart about it. Dont dream about the future, and how we can change it, cause we can't, we're doomed to destroy ourselves, and thats not pessimism, thats fact. Don't dream about the past, it will never be the way it once was, there are too many ambitious people out there to ever digress. Dream about now. Dream about how the things you've experienced have made you smarter. Have made you stronger. And that when the day comes that your time here has run out, all the things that you have gone through, good or bad, have made you the best. No matter if no one else see's it. No matter if they do. It's not something you express, it's something you keep in the back of your mind. That way no matter how bad things get, no matter who fucks you over, you can take it all in stride. Because you know that through dreaming with your eyes open, you've already accomplished more than a lot of arrogant, ignorant people on this earth ever will. Things are better because you see them as better no matter who tries to tell you differently. Dream with your eyes open people, and achieve true happiness. Just because it only exists in your mind, doesn't mean you can't enjoy it all the same. Its the way I see things, and I don't see anyone doing better than me.
