g'day livejournal. well, my week off was utterly wasted being hungover, sleeping late, watching footy and screwing around on the internet, but i guess i'm still on top of my work so it's ok.
i got a new job as a waiter/bartender in the fuction room of a golf club. so much easier than at portsea. something tells me red-faced golfers aren't gonna be as hard to deal with as spoilt 18 year-old drunk girls. plus, less staff equals friendlier managers. that'll be cool.
i finally got my hands on the blueline medic/ted leo split EP. it's worth it for the blueline tracks alone. but the show with ted leo in a few weeks will probably be the most awesome thing ever. i was gonna buy the incredibles today as well but it was too many dollars for my malnourished wallet.
my birthday is in a couple of weeks. i'll be 19..wowsers! i wanna do something a bit different this year, rather than the usual 'get drunk' type thing. some ideas that i had were a scavenger hunt (inspired by a girl i work with), a poker night, and going out somewhere in costume (a clockwork orange-style). please give me more suggestions! if i pick yours, i might even consider inviting you.
these journal entries used to be more fun, didn't they? this time last year i was talking about playing gigs and getting drunk in the afternoon and uni and stuff. what's changed? is it me? or is it everyone? (totally didn't mean to quote inspection 12 lyrics then.) i guess i'm pretty happy given the circumstances, though. i'm working on it.
