why can't all bands be as cool as the bronx? why can't all people be as cool as the bronx? those guys are so awesome. if i had to nominate a cathartic rock band, they would be it. i dunno. this isn't going anywhere, nor is it meant to just be some shrine to the bronx. so, on that note, new paragraph ( Read more... )

Ok, let's revise what we've learnt. Saying "obviously you missed the point" without actually addressing this supposed point I missed is just a complete avoidance. A "cop out", if you will. It is not how an exchange of ideas progresses.

You say you weren't talking about slight fluctuations, but it clearly says in your post that you were. And then you completely miss my point that something very improbable is still just as probable as any other similar improbable event.

(West coast riders know how we hold it down.)

PS: I could have been more precise (read petty) and said something like:
Weren't talking about slight fluctuations? Let us see here...
"few more hundred kilometers"
"a bit more carbon"
"a bit less hydrogen"
"a slightly larger"
Hmmm, you are right, where did I ever get that impression?

PPS: Also, way to completely skirt the issue of a God, talking about perfection and, arguable, alluding to some sort of design (a force/entity that somehow had big plans for this chemistry set of it/His/Hers). We can't conjure such an entity or believe in a design or purpose for the universe without having at least a very abstract notion of a God. How can you have PURPOSE and DESIGN without a driving force?
