godspeed, all the bakers at dawn!

i'm just gonna write in here for a bit before i run along to finish reading, and possibly get started on the weathered tome that is my culture change reader for this semester. yeah, that baby cost me $50 and weighs a few kilograms. who wouldn't love hauling that shit to and from uni every day?

i am so scared. i have been hanging out on myspace an unhealthy amount, ever since i realised that bands that i like have pages up and songs that you can't get anywhere else.

attn: myspace emo kids.

please refrain from all further photography involving strange and obscure camera angles and/or filters in an attempt to accentuate emo hair styles/extreeeeeeem piercings.

thanks, management.

so uh. yeah. i guess i should explain what i'm doing this year. i'm studying anthropology and HPS (history and philosophy of science). i'm gonna major in both of them. my classes are all heaps smaller than they were last year, i guess because everyone's found their 'niche' and has pursued their particular areas of interest. does the fact that there are lots of 4th year maths majors in my classes reflect badly upon me?

but uni is disappointingly similar to last year. there are heaps of first years running around, and that's the only apparent difference. i'm enjoying most of my classes though, save for the fact that i have to write four essays at the end of semester.

i'm reading requiem for a dream and enjoying it. still haven't seen the movie but i guess if i like the book i'll buy it. mulholland drive is finally in stock at jb (after they assured me that they couldn't even order it in for me) so i'm not buying it out of spite. and the fact that i can't afford it.

so now you all know why i haven't been updating here. i have nothing to say. i'm even boring myself.

the shins - oh, inverted world!
none more black - file under black
elliott smith - xo
fairweather - lusitania
built to spill - ancient melodies of the future
vaux - there must be some way to stop them

if anyone has any suggestions for a protest movement that i can write my final paper on for anthropology this semester, i'm all ears.

i'm so confused right now.
