I know, I know... It's nothing compared to [insert name of the frigid hellhole you live in here] but it's getting awfully cold riding in the evenings here in So.Cal. even by So.Cal standards.
I was up at Casino Pauma yesterday afternoon at my first training session with the Gold Angels Drill Team (Yeah... I'm learning to ride with a precision drill team), and even with my heavy leather gauntlets on and the heated hand grips, my hands were nearly frozen by the time I got home. (Heated handgrips only work on the palms of your hands, and only if you keep your grip tight all the time)
So I went online and ordered a pair of heated riding gauntlets (my BabyDragon already has a DC plug for hooking up heated clothing) from
my favorite toy store, hoping that they would arrive this week before I need to ride up to Bakersfield Friday afternoon... the high desert is going to be a lot colder than North San Diego County is.
I just got an email that the gloves are back-ordered through the end of January from the manufacturer.
Brr... F*##ing Brr!
