What I remember from last year is that one of the locals was upset that he couldn't sell within the park because he wasn't a merchant at the war. So instead, set up on the side of the street that leads to the park and sold firewood there. He then complained (loudly) that he saw the Potrero Store delivering firewood along with the ice delivery one day, when in fact, they simply had firewood in the truck and was not delivering anything other than ice.
I am a registered merchant at Potrero. I have a valid seller's permit from the BOE. I can sell whatever (legal) merchandise I want to, including firewood bundles. There are no restrictions about that listed in the Merchant guildelines.
...and the park sometimes gives away oak logs for firewood when they have a surplus (like in 2007 at September War when they needed to clear a lot of burned trees after the Harris Ranch fire) but I haven't seen them "selling" it... so I am actually taking a risk that I might be undercut by them giving away free firewood, but they won't have enough for all, and I can probably still sell the 20 bundles of Avocado firewood my brother is preparing for me.
