Wow... only 17 more days until I'm on a plane to Japan for two whole weeks!.

My JR East railpass exchange tickets arrived today. That's a relief.

Total time studying Japanese since I bought $300 worth of Rosetta Stone software back in March: less than 2 hours. I'm SOOOooo going to be lost out there, but looking forward to it all the same. :)

Oh, I plan to... just like I did two years ago the first time I left the continent. ;)

Gizmo went with the Tucson Mob, the last time that they went to Japan; he brought back a small plastic fox charm; I'm not sure if he got it at a corner convenience store, or if he went to a local temple or shrine of Inari...but he only brought back _one_.

If you run across such an item - or anything fox-related, for a reasonable price, and of practical size - I will pay you for it. "Reasonable Price" is < $45, "Practical Size" is whatever you would find least inconvenient to have to acquire or pack or haul around.

...And if an attractive young lady with a fox tail showing under her kimono should happen to want to follow you home...would you be so kind as to give her my e-mail address?
