Ok, these are just some of my musings on three movies I saw yesterday:
The Squid and The Whale:
- The whole masturbation thing, was nasty, and all it made me think was, is Noah Baumbach the brother who wanked and then rubbed his seed everywhere, or the brother who claimed to write pink floyd songs?
- Billy Baldwin, man, he is the most unfortunate baldwin brother. He kinda looks like some sort of badger. Or something.
- This movie is only one hour and 11 minutes long. That is barely feature length.
Pumpkin:
- At the end of the movie, why does Christina Ricci turn around and look back a the camera???? It doesn't make any sense.
Edit: Some theories from imdb posters: the Ricci character, Carolyn, asks punpkin if a question he had asked her was meant literally or metaphorically, he responds "What?"
So either a) She is looking back saying, don't take this silly movie literally people, or b) "If i remember correctly all he said in response to her question was "What?" and at that moment she was unable to better explain what she had asked because she didn't understand the question herself. She learned some "big" words while she was in college but that didn't make her any smarter or more capable than Pumpkin. They're a good match. " quote of dfedorsk
- If anyone ever sees/has seen this movie, please tell me, because I don't know!!!
