Safeway, Day 1

So my first day was rather boring. Just some web-based training courses with two other new-hires (another tech and a pharmacist) at our own pace all day long. Thankfully today we got out of the way most of the basic company policies and procedures, safety information, and front checkstand how-tos. Why anyone in the Pharmacy (especially a pharmacist) needs to know all the finer points on how to ring up someone's groceries on the front registers, I'll never know. *shrugs* Tomorrow we finish up with the basics and move on to some more advanced, but still non-pharmacy, topics.

Afterwards I actually remembered that I needed to stop by Bath & Body Works for some more delicious Warm Vanilla Sugar body spritz since I've been almost out for a while now. Just as I was hoping, it was on sale! Hooray post-Thanksgiving consumerism... I also wandered into the TJMaxx for a pair of driving gloves, hoping that my now ex-pharmacist was correct about them having a good selection. Within a few minutes I found the perfect pair of soft black leather gloves with a thin red knitted interior, just what I was looking for to keep my hands warm but weren't so thick that I can't feel what I'm doing.

While I was there I also noticed the purse/pocketbook section and spent probably longer than I should have to pick out a new "checkbook"...but I'm happy with it. Black leather and cloth with as many pockets and compartments that I could ever want (and then some) and a removable check-thingy for $12? Yeah, I won't complain.

Now I'm home, settling down for the night, and starting to wonder where the boy is and if he's safe. I tried to call him earlier but the call wouldn't go through... :(
