Forever Immortalized
Since Stacy's death, I have been checking MySpace a lot for updates and just seeing how things are going, as most of her online life was posted through that website. And I got to be thinking that unless Ken takes it down or MySpace folds, her page will be there forever. We will always be able to see the last time she logged on. Her last mood. Her last post.
I don't know if I want that for myself. On one hand it seems a little silly. On the other hand, I would be, as stated in the subject line of this post, forever immortalized. Do I want people to remember me as a collection of HTML viewable on a computer screen? It's something I'll have to think about.
Maybe you've seen my default icon. Maybe you haven't. It's the one I'm using on this post. It's my family clan badge/crest. The motto is "Ne oublie". It means "Never Forget".
