People will do what they say and be astonished when yes, indeed, their clothing does come out clean. However, it isn't the magic rocks or whatever they sell you, you can get the same results if you skip those and just add less soap. Especially the first few weeks you use it, because your clothing already has soap in it that never rinsed out all the other times you washed it.
That being said, I still don't believe it. Sure, the stains may be gone, but I'm always convinced if I don't add enough soap, it's just an illusion and the fabric is most likely full of germs and bacteria. So, I end up dumping more than that tiny bit they tell me to.
I also do a lot of laundry by hand, because I don't have a washer and drier and I refuse to spend hours all the time in a laundromat. And while I do swish the clothing about in the sink, I'm no where near as powerful as a washing machine, so I use more soap, figuring that will make up for it.
