The Exciting Internship!
Just started my internship in the big city of Connersville, Indiana...
So far, it's going well. I actually I enjoy the routine of getting up at 7, and being in the office from 8-5. It makes me a lot less tired during the day!
So far, the biggest hurdle has been my new office. It is a makeshift office put in the public resource room. I rearranged the room about for times until it was satisfactory to my boss/mentor. If he has any problems with it now, he's gonna move those cumbersome shelves himself while I go out and enjoy nine holes of golf. Ok, so that won't happen!
Oh, the other thing is I enjoy not wearing some quirky blue kings island uniform to work each day. Honestly, I fell more important, or worth something more than just a man who fills a spot on the food line.
The biggest thing to look forward to with this job is Vacation Bible School. The leaders have that have me in charge of the drama crew, and I get to use a puppet! His name is Darrel the Barrel and he is an orange construction cone with possibly a broklyn accent! I also get to be the storyteller one night.
And oh yeah! I get to preach every sunday night, starting in June through the end of July. If any of ya'll get bored on Sunday evenings and want a good excuse for an 1 and 15 minute road trip, come on up. We'll grab fast food afterwards!
Tonite I'm filling in for Matt and teaching the Wednesday evening bible study. Hope i don't flop!
