Three in a row
If any of you in Iowa City have nothing to do for the next three days, you can see a whole lot of me at the Picador starting tonight. I will be playing improvisational guitar tonight for the ICE Film festival, doing three minute ditties for three minute "home movie"-style films. It's free too! Tomorrow, Trash Dog, the new Iowa City hXc band featuring myself, Ryan Garbes, and Jeff Witscher, will be busting out some scrum riffs, torn vocals, and bad drumming for the Magik Markers show. And SATURDAY will be the Girl Talk/Dan Deacon/White Williams show with Wet Hair, a new one-time only fare with everyone in Raccoo-oo-oon except for Andy. He's in L.A. If you're going to the Jandek show instead, you'll probably not miss too much on our end and probably will be at a more interesting show anyways. Plus, my friend Skye is playing viola with the dude!
